Drug intelligence / Profile preview
[203Pb]VMT01 + [68Ga]VMT02 is a combination of two radiolabeled peptides used for imaging melanocortin subtype 1 receptor (MC1R)-expressing melanomas. [203Pb]VMT01 is a SPECT imaging radiopharmaceutical that selectively targets MC1R on melanoma cells, binding with high affinity and enabling visualization of tumor sites via Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT)[1][3][5]. [68Ga]VMT02 is a positron emitter peptide for PET imaging, also targeting MC1R, providing higher resolution and sensitivity compared to SPECT, which helps to better define tumor burden and receptor expression for patient selection and therapy monitoring[1][3][4]. This dual imaging approach allows clinicians to assess MC1R expression, select patients for MC1R-targeted therapies, and monitor response to treatment in metastatic melanoma.
